Found along the scenic Kwando River in Namibia's Zambezi Region, Namushasha River Camping2Go offers a unique blend of adventure and comfort. Just 24 km south of Kongola on the C49, this relaxing escape is perfect for those seeking to immerse themselves in nature without compromising on modern conveniences. Whether you're a seasoned camper or new to the experience, these rustic yet fully equipped self-catering tents ensure a hassle-free getaway.

The four spacious tents accommodate up to 4 guests each, featuring comfortable beds and an en-suite bathroom with a refreshing shower. Outside, a shaded terrace houses a fully equipped kitchen complete with a fridge, gas stove, sink, and all necessary utensils. Enjoy your evenings under the stars with a crackling campfire at the firepit or sizzling delights on the braai.

Guests at Namushasha River Camping2Go can also take advantage of the nearby Namushasha River Lodge, where a swimming pool, restaurant, and guided activities await. After successfully bringing refreshed design and enhanced comfort to the lodge rooms in 2024, we are now turning our attention to the heart of the lodge. In 2026, the main guest areas, including the reception, restaurant, bar, and sundowner deck, will undergo a major upgrade to create a brighter, more modern space that complements the look and feel of our newly styled rooms. To ensure a smooth renovation process with minimal disruption, the lodge will be temporarily closed from 1 January to 2 April 2026. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to assist with rescheduling any existing bookings.

You are welcome to enquire about the boat cruise activities upon check-in. We make every effort to maintain the activity as long as water levels permit. The safety of our guests comes first.

Game Drive into Bwabwata National Park

Many large mammal and bird species call Bwabwata National Park their home. Elephants regularly move through the park. Other species are are Cape buffalo, hippo, roan antelope, sable antelope, tsessebe, zebra, wildebeest, red lechwe, sitatunga, crocodile and predators such as lion, leopard, cheetah and spotted hyena. Join the the guided game drive into the Bwabwata National Park and learn all there is to know about it fauna and flora. After a Park entrance fees, short boat transfer, snacks and refreshments included. AM Departure: ± 8:00 PM Departure: ± 15:00 Duration: ± 3 hours

Afternoon Boat Cruise

Experience an unforgettable boat trip on the Kwando River. The area around the Kwando River in the Bwabwata National Park in Namibia is home to abundant wildlife, including herds of elephants and buffalo, as well as hippos, crocodiles, and over 400 species of birds, the most known being the African fish eagles, African skimmers, lesser jacana, black coucal, wattled crane, western-banded snake eagle, shelleys sunbird, and arnotts chat. Welcome the new day or watch the sunset while enjoying a relaxing boat cruise on the Kwando River, listening to the guide sharing knowledge about the Kwando River system, noted for its wildlife and for most of its length the land either side is protected as game reserves or wildlife management areas. Join a guided fishing trip and catch species such as catfish, tilapia, nembwe and tigerfish. 2 persons per boat. Boat and basic tackle and bait are included. A fishing license can be obtained from the Lodge but is not included in the rate. Lost or broken fishing equipment as well as drinks at guest's own expense.
