Lodge Overview
The campsite at Klein-Aus Vista is a magical place. It will call you back again like an echo. Resting in an amphitheatre of rock, it's a hideaway that evokes the feeling of wilderness. The sites are positioned under giant camelthorn trees, some adorned with sociable weaver nests. Several hiking and mountain bike trails run through the valley.
As prime spot in the area, the Klein-Aus Vista Campsite provides an ideal base to explore the southwestern corner of Namibia. Here, the wild horses of the Namib roam, desert sand blows through the old diamond town Kolmanskop, and Lüderitz holds century-old wishes 100km away.
At Klein-Aus Vista, camping pleasures are enjoyed to the full. Each of the 10 sites is equipped with a water tap, table with benches, grill and windbreak. We offer hot-water showers and flush toilets while the courtesy of Mother Nature provides space and grace. Barbecue packs are available at the reception of Desert Horse Inn only two kilometres away. Those who like to skip cooking for a change are more than welcome at the lodge's restaurant (on prior request).
There's nothing quite like the simple pleasures: camaraderie around the campfire and the enchantment of a star-studded heaven rich in myths.
