Activities

Morning/Afternoon Nature Drive

These drives are the perfect way to getting acquainted with the Kalahari Desert. The morning or sunset drive with panoramic views across the Kalahari dunes is something to remember forever. Refreshments and a light snack will be provided. The sundowner dune drive includes a ± 30 - 40 minute sundowner on a dune, where guests can enjoy a drink and snacks while watching the sun set. Arrival back at the lodge is in time for dinner. AM Departure: ± 30 minutes before sunrise from Kalahari Anib Lodge PM Departure: ± 2 hours before sunset from Kalahari Anib Lodge Duration: ± 3 hours

Desert Night Walk (guided)

Prepare to be amazed by the sight of nocturnal desert creatures on a short, guided night walk after dinner. No refreshments or snacks offered. This activity is bookable directly at the lodge only. Departure: after dinner from Kalahari Anib Lodge reception Duration: ± 45 minutes

Hiking Trails (self-guided)

Explore the Kalahari on foot and on your own initiative. A trail map is available at the reception. Distances: 6 km | 7 ½ km | 9 ½ km

Guided Dune Walk

Explore the Kalahari on foot with a guide. Refreshments and a light snack will be provided. This activity is only offered in the morning and to be o be booked directly at the Lodge. Departure: please enquire at Kalahari Anib Lodge reception Duration: ± 3 hours

Morning Nature Drives for Families

Join a 2-hour morning drive with a dedicated tour guide. After a leisurely drive guests will arrive at one of the red dunes. The red sand of the dunes invites all children to play. The family will spend some relaxed time on the dunes with coffee and hot chocolate. The guide will share some interesting facts on fauna and flora with the children (and their parents). This activity is offered during morning hours only and is subject to availability. Departure: please enquire at Kalahari Anib Lodge reception Duration: ± 2 hours

Bushmen Wisdom Experience (guided)

Embark on an enriching journey through the Kalahari into the ancient world of the San, Namibia’s first inhabitants. Guided by a local bushmen, this immersive desert walk reveals ancestral knowledge and the secrets of survival in one of the world’s most challenging environments. This activity includes refreshments and a light snack; advance booking recommended or directly at the lodge. Departure: at sunrise in summer, a bit later in winter Duration: ± 3 hours
