Lodge Overview
Hakusembe River Campsite is a tranquil retreat located on the south bank of the Okavango River, with stunning views of Angola to the north. The campsite is nestled among lush vegetation near the riverbank, offering a peaceful, nature-filled escape.
Hakusembe River Campsite features four private sites, each shaded by trees and set on a grassy area. Every site is equipped with power points and braai facilities, and guests have access to private ablution facilities. Campers are also welcome to use the lodge’s facilities.
The lodge provides a serene environment to unwind, with a swimming pool for cooling off and a drink at the bar. The on-site restaurant serves Namibian and international cuisine, and guests can relax on the deck or jetty, perfect for enjoying the view or boarding boats for river adventures.
River-based activities include fishing and birding trips. A highlight of the day is the sundowner boat cruise on the Okavango River. Don’t miss out and pitch your tent at this convenient stopover en route to the Zambezi Region and the iconic Victoria Falls.
Take note: In the dry season between September and December, the rivers tend to hold so little water that boat trips are limited, with little or no access to the river channels. You are welcome to enquire about the boat cruise activities upon check-in. We make every effort to maintain the activity as long as water levels permit. The safety of our guests comes first.
