Lodge Overview
Tucked away in a secluded haven, Chobe River Campsite’s four intimate sites offer guests a private and tranquil experience, each designed with exclusive ablution facilities for added comfort. Surrounded by unspoiled landscapes, the campsites are a gateway to abundant wildlife and vibrant birdlife, where guests can immerse themselves in authentic natural encounters.
Located just four kilometres from the Ngoma border post between Namibia and Botswana and within reach of the extraordinary Chobe National Park (Botswana), this spot is a dream for travelers looking for an unforgettable adventure. The area is ideal for exploration, with the stunning Chobe River and its majestic views waiting to be discovered.
Just a short stroll away lies Chobe River Camp, where guests can unwind with a refreshing swim in the pool or delight in a carefully crafted dinner, adding a touch of indulgence to their wilderness escape. This is the African experience reimagined, blending the magic of the wild with the comfort and warmth of Namibian hospitality, making it a perfect choice for those looking to connect deeply with nature in an atmosphere of peaceful solitude.
Here, guests are invited to slow down, savour the beauty of the Zambezi Region around them, and create cherished memories in one of Africa’s most captivating landscapes.
Please note: In the dry season between September and December, the rivers tend to hold so little water that boat trips are limited, with little or no access to the river channels. You are welcome to enquire about the boat cruise activities upon check-in. We make every effort to maintain the activity as long as water levels permit. The safety of our guests comes first.
Due to the rainy season in the Zambezi Region, the access road to Chobe River Camp is currently muddy and passable only by 4x4 vehicles. At the camp turn-off, a signboard provides contact details to call our team for assistance. During the rainy season, guests must be escorted to the lodge, which may cause slight delays. Non-4x4 vehicles and buses should park at Ngoma Police Station, where guests and luggage will be transferred to the lodge. All 4x4 vehicles will be escorted in and out by our team.
