Lodge Overview

Evoke the nostalgic charm of a vintage roadhouse, this gem is an absolute delight and an essential stop on any journey to Namibia’s Fish River Canyon. Outside, the atmosphere teases the enchanting interior, with weathered Chevys and Fords from the old days nestled amidst quiver trees and desert blooms.

Upon entering the Canyon Roadhouse, you'll be greeted by a truck repurposed as the reception desk, a lively bar, and an array of classic vehicles and transportation memorabilia cleverly arranged. Tables are thoughtfully interspersed, and the car cabs double as quirky fireplaces during the winter chill.

Twenty-four spacious and inviting rooms encircle charming courtyards, offering a comfortable and convenient retreat. A refreshing swimming pool awaits weary travellers after a day of exploration. Indulge in delectable Roadhouse specialties like Amarula Cheesecake and savour the finest cappuccino for miles around on the lovely terrace.

For breathtaking sunsets, ascend the hill overlooking the lodge, where the flat-topped Holoog Mountain and the Gondwana Canyon Park unfold before your eyes. Embark on guided excursions to Canyon Viewpoints just 17 kilometres away or traverse the rugged 4x4 //Garas Self-Drive to encounter zebras and wildebeests grazing on the grassy plains.
